Sportfish of Costa Rica

World famous for the simple facts of the location: Year-round warm waters combine with Costa Rica's double-sized Territorial Limit to create an environment where the most prized species in sportfishing remain abundant and consistantly deliver the best fishing experiences anyone could ask for.

	Marlin Big Blue, Black and Striped Marlin are always around for boats that target them. You may have to go a little farther and fish a little harder... Sept-Nov are normally the best months.
	Sailfish The Sailfish bite above average all year round and almost all are above 100 lbs. The best months are Dec-Apr. Good day: 10-40 / Slow day: 3-10
	Dorado The Dorado fishing is above average year round. 20- 50 lb Dorado are very common when fishing for Marlin and 60-70 lbs are caught every month.
	Roosterfish 20-80 pounders are caught every month. June –Oct are consided the best for this hard hitting fish. Commont to catch 2-3 per day.
	Snapper There are different species of Snapper that good all year. The cubera Snapper is in the 50- 80 pound rnage and are very common.
	Yellowfin Tuna 100 lb Yellowfin are caught all year when fishing for Marlin. The best months for 200 plus pondres are June –Sept.
	Wahoo 20-60 lb Wahoo can be a pleasant surprise anytime of the year! ...and are usually caught when fishing for somethinge else.
	Snook Snook are caught all year round in all the river mouths that run into the pacific. There are lots of 20-40 pounders caught every year. Best months July-Dec.
